Miller-Meeks and Sorensen Release Joint Statement in Strong Support of Rock Island Arsenal

WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-01) and Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17)  released the following statement after the U.S. Army announced the cancellation of collective bargaining agreements with the American Federation of Government Employees: 

“The workers who support our armed forces should have the right to join a union and collectively bargain for fair wages and working conditions. We will continue to advocate for Rock Island Arsenal employees against this decision to end the Department of War's collective bargaining agreements. We will once again be reaching out to the DoW to urge them to reconsider this action.”
