Washington, D.C. — Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-01) was officially sworn into the 119th Congress during a ceremony on the House floor, led by newly re-elected Speaker of the House Mike Johnson. This marks her third time taking the oath of office.
“It is the honor of a lifetime to serve the people of Iowa’s First Congressional District,” said Miller-Meeks. “When I first took the oath in 2021, I pledged to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Four years later, I proudly renew that pledge. With Republican majorities in both the House and Senate, and President Trump in the White House, the time is now to make good on our promises and deliver real, meaningful change for the people of Iowa.”
