Merry Christmas!
Christmas is always a special time of year.
A time of joy, happiness, and optimism. Friends and family come together to celebrate the holidays and another year over.
Christmas in Iowa is something that has always brought joy to my heart. From festive town squares and main street parades, seeing neighborhoods beautifully decorated with Christmas lights, to my tradition of baking cinnamon and orange rolls for my friends, family, and neighbors, I am blessed to be able to celebrate Christmas here in Iowa’s Second District.
Be sure to take some time with your loved ones this holiday season to check out the great communities across our District.
In Albia and Oskaloosa, you can visit the holiday decorations and lights in the town square. Visitors to Pella can get tickets for the Annual Christmas Tour of Homes, featuring tours of four historic and magically decorated houses.
You can bring your family to Keokuk and see the famous City of Christmas at Rand Park, a tradition since 1989 with thousands of lights to see. Or you can stop in Muscatine to see the Festival of Lights and the Community Christmas Tree.
I wish everyone who is celebrating in Iowa, the United States, and across the world a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a safe and healthy new year!
