House Passes Miller-Meeks Bill to Rename Fort Madison Post Office After Martin Graber
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation introduced by Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-01) to rename the post office in Fort Madison, Iowa, after Martin L. Graber.
H.R. 4707 designates the facility as the “Martin L. Graber Post Office,” honoring a lifetime of service to both the nation and the state of Iowa.
“Martin Graber dedicated his life to serving our country and our community,” said Congresswoman Miller-Meeks. “From his 32 years in the Iowa Army National Guard to his service in the Iowa State House, he embodied the very best of Iowa values—faith, family, and selfless service.”
Graber served for more than three decades in the Iowa Army National Guard and later continued his public service in the Iowa Legislature, working to improve the lives of Iowans.
“Renaming this post office is a small but lasting way to honor his legacy and ensure future generations remember his commitment to service,” Miller-Meeks added. “I’m proud to have led this effort alongside the Iowa delegation and his family.”
Joining Miller-Meeks in leading this bill are Iowa Representatives Ashley Hinson (IA-02), Zach Nunn (IA-03), and Randy Feenstra (IA-04).
