Miller-Meeks Announces Service Academy Nominees

December 22, 2021

OTTUMWA, I.A.—Today, December 22nd, 2021, Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-02) announced nominations of seven students in Iowa’s Second District to be considered for appointments to the United States service academies.

As a 24-year Army veteran, it was an honor to meet each of these students. Our military academies mold our students into the leaders of tomorrow. I want to thank the members of my Service Academy Review and Advisory Board for their work reviewing and interviewing these applicants and giving me their recommendations. The academy nomination is just one step in the path toward attending these prestigious schools and I could not be prouder of every Iowan who put themselves into this application process.

Boaz Abramoff - Iowa City - U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
