Miller-Meeks to Attend President Biden’s Joint Address
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, April 28th, 2021, Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-02) announced that she will attend President Joe Biden’s Joint Address to Congress and will join Congressional leadership in escorting the President into the House chamber:
“I am honored to not only have been invited to attend President Biden’s first address to Congress but to join leadership in welcoming him to the House.
I look forward to hearing the President’s plans for the remainder of this year and beyond. We must work in a bipartisan manner to reopen our economy, support our hard-working taxpayers and small businesses, get kids back in schools, protect our environment, and crush this pandemic.
It is my hope that President Biden and his Administration will begin to have serious and meaningful discussions with Congressional Republicans to deliver real results to the American people as we continue to fight this pandemic.”
