Miller-Meeks Delivers $2.5 Million for Forevergreen Road Extension

CORALVILLE, IA — Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-01) celebrated the groundbreaking of the Forevergreen Road Extension, a long-awaited project that will improve connectivity, support growth, and strengthen communities in Coralville and North Liberty.

Miller-Meeks helped secure $2.5 million in Community Project Funding to support the first phase of the project, bringing federal resources back to Eastern Iowa for a critical local priority.

“Projects like the Forevergreen Road Extension are exactly why I fight to bring Iowa’s tax dollars back home. This investment will improve connections for families and businesses, support the continued growth of Coralville and North Liberty, and ensure our communities have the resources they need to thrive. I’ll continue fighting to secure funding for projects like this across Eastern Iowa,” said Miller-Meeks.

The Forevergreen Road Extension has been years in the making and represents an important investment in one of Eastern Iowa’s fastest-growing regions. The project will improve transportation connections, enhance mobility, and support continued economic development in Coralville and North Liberty.

Since taking office, Miller-Meeks has helped deliver more than $87.1 million in federal funding for Iowa’s First District, including $27 million this year alone, for priorities that matter to local communities, including repairing roads and bridges, modernizing water systems, supporting local law enforcement, and helping reopen the Keokuk hospital.

Including the Army Corps of Engineers’ Upper Mississippi River project, that total exceeds $132 million in federal investments returned to Eastern Iowa.

Miller-Meeks remains committed to fighting for additional funding for the Forevergreen Road Extension and other projects across Eastern Iowa that strengthen communities and improve quality of life for residents.
