Miller-Meeks Highlights Historic New Seniors Tax Savings in Pella

February 6, 2026

PELLA, IA — Today, Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-01) hosted dozens of Iowa seniors and their families in Pella for coffee, pastries, and a discussion on the historic new tax savings she secured in the Working Families Tax Cuts.

During the event, Miller-Meeks highlighted the new senior tax deductions she helped deliver, which provide up to $6,000 in tax relief for single filers and $12,000 for married couples filing jointly.

“It was great to be in Pella talking directly with Iowa seniors about the real tax savings they’re seeing because of this new deduction,” said Miller-Meeks. “These changes mean up to $6,000 in savings for single filers and $12,000 for married couples, helping Iowa seniors keep more of what they’ve earned. After a lifetime of working hard and paying taxes, our seniors deserve this, and much more.”

The event began with remarks from Senator Ken Rozenboom, who introduced Congresswoman Miller-Meeks before she outlined her work advancing tax relief for seniors and working families. Attendees then had the opportunity to ask questions, take photos, and discuss how the new deductions will impact them directly.

Congresswoman Miller-Meeks has made lowering costs and delivering tax relief for Iowa families a top priority, and she continues working to ensure seniors, workers, and small businesses benefit from policies that strengthen Iowa’s economy.
