Miller-Meeks Joins Letter Calling on Administration to Reduce Barriers to U.S. Agriculture Production

June 14, 2022

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, June 14th, 2022, Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-02) joined over 90 House Republicans, led by House Agriculture Committee Republican Leader Rep. Glenn Thompson (PA-15), in sending a solutions-focused letter calling on the Biden Administration to reverse overly burdensome regulations and policy barriers to U.S. agriculture production that have caused needless uncertainty for farmers, ranchers, and working families.

“Iowa’s producers and consumers are struggling and the policies coming from this Administration have not helped. Broken supply chains, increased input costs, and record-high inflation are threatening the way of life of family farms across Iowa,” said Miller-Meeks. “We need to be cutting back on burdensome regulations like WOTUS and allowing producers to use their land as they see fit. I will continue to fight to ensure that Iowa’s producers are treated fairly and get the assistance they need every day.”
