WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Conservative Climate Caucus announced Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks, M.D. (IA-01) as the new Chair. Founder and former Chair John Curtis (UT-03), who served in the position from the Caucus founding in June 2021, has transitioned to an advisory role as Chair Emeritus. 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The House Energy and Commerce Committee passed H.R. 7637, the “Refrigerator Freedom Act.” This legislation was introduced by U.S. Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks, M.D. (IA-01) and prohibits the Department of Energy (DOE) from prescribing or enforcing energy efficiency standards for refrigerators that are not cost effective or technologically feasible, or that fail to save a significant amount of energy.
