U.S. Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks recognized a local athlete for his exceptional fall season on the floor of the House of Representatives. Miller-Meeks honored Central College Quarterback Blaine Hawkins for the NCAA-record 63 touchdown passes in the 2021 season, most among all divisions. Hawkins, now a graduate, won the Gagliardi Trophy, an honor awarded to the nation’s top Division III player, for his efforts.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, March 8th, 2022, Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-02) joined Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01) and Josh Gottheimer (NJ-05) to introduce the Ban Russian Energy Imports Act. The bill will ban the United States from importing Russian crude oil, petroleum, petroleum products, liquefied natural gas (LNG), and coal.
