A group of 22 republication members of the U.S. House of Representatives on Sept. 22 sent a letter to President Joe Biden expressing disappointment in rumors that his administration is reversing course on its promise to uphold the Renewable Fuel Standard.
The letter references rumors that the U.S. EPA’s upcoming proposed rule to set RFS renewable volume obligations (RVOs) will “cut demand for more combined gallons of ethanol than all gallons cut due to small refinery exemptions (SREs) issued by the prior administration.”
Today, the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight is taking its first trip since the pandemic began.
After missing six flights to the COVID-19 virus, Honor Flight 39 took off from the Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids early Tuesday morning.
The flight carried 96 veterans on a once in a lifetime trip to Washington DC to visit the memorials built in their honor.
While at the World War Two Memorial on Tuesday morning, the veterans were greeted by U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley and U.S. Representatives Ashley Hinson and Mariannette Miller-Meeks.
