Reps. Guest and Letlow Introduce Resolution to Recognize Fallen Officers During National Police Week
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Michael Guest (MS-03) and Congresswoman Julia Letlow (LA-05) introduced a resolution expressing support for recognizing National Police Week and the 619 law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty or whose stories were otherwise recovered during 2021.
At the age of eighteen, I enlisted in the United States Army. During my twenty-four years of service, I served as a private, nurse and doctor. My father’s service in the United States Air Force inspired me to serve my country and defend our great nation.
During my service in the Army, I learned loyalty, duty, honor, courage, and sacrifice to the United States of America. The greatest way to show compassion to your country is by serving in our great military.
