DES MOINES, Iowa – The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced a change in their mask guidelines for vaccinated people on Thursday. They initially stated that vaccinated people could go without a mask when outdoors but shifted to say those fully vaccinated from COVID-19 could go without a mask or social distancing indoors and outdoors.
This year, due to guidelines restricting outdoor activities, many children will be stuck inside when they should be outdoors in the sunlight playing, learning new skills, making friends, and enjoying their childhoods.
This is not only important for their mental health but also their physical health and enhancing their immune system. Attending summer camps is a huge part of this growth.
